2011

New Year 2011.

A new beginning, a fresh start, a new 2011 with all of its’ promise is now upon us. As we greet the New Year let us be mindful of Who it is that has given us the privilege to live, breathe, and have our being. Let us forget not for a minute, not one second, the reason we are here.

Sorrows and Joys

Sorrows and joys wax and wane and through it all we must stay sane.

"....prophets, then, foretold that God would be seen by men....."

"The prophets, then, foretold that God would be seen by men...
By their own powers man cannot see God,
yet God will be seen by men because he wills it.
He will be seen by those he chooses, for God can do all things.
.....he is seen through the Son by our adoption as his children.....

As those who see light are in the light
sharing its' brilliance,
so those who see God are in God
sharing his glory,
and that glory gives them life.
To see God is to share in life."

12-22-10

I was 'called' to go to Church this morning and after our 8:30 am Mass, about 10 of us gathered in the Chapel to pray the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. While praying I felt the Holy Spirit and in my soul I saw the fluttering wings of a white dove. I had the sense we were in a very holy place and I was breathing in sanctity. I breathed deeply numerous times sensing I was being spiritually cleansed and filled. It was a transcendence to heavenly place. I was transported out of myself.

I cherish moments like these and jot them down.

This is a blog of thoughts that have come to me either in prayer or at some moments when my mind was attuned to God. Being human and caught up in the activities of daily living, one cannot as frequently as one would like, write upholding thoughts inspired by God Himself. While at times my soul soars, other times it coasts or even plummets, not unlike many of us. We pray many more flights than crash-landings...:):)

No one is as blind as he who will NOT see.

Years ago, 10 at least, this thought came to my mind and I never copyrighted it...since then I have seen it as anonymous a number of times and also in a book I bought a year ago. I am not even sure if I was the first to write it or not, but surely God inspired it to be written by someone:

Aspire to inspire before you expire.

God is as close as we permit Him to be.
